About the role
You will own a piece of the platform every RUBIKLABS product runs on. Today it serves three products. Tomorrow it will serve thirty. You will be one of the engineers who makes that possible — or not.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate the Kubernetes control plane from single-tenant today to multi-tenant at scale.
- Hold every deploy to under 60 seconds. If the error-rate threshold trips, the rollback is automatic and it is your code that does it.
- Take the pager. When an incident fires at 4 AM, you find it, fix it, and write the retrospective.
Requirements
- 5+ years in production infrastructure, in environments where one commit touches hundreds of services.
- Kubernetes, Linux networking, observability — daily comfort, not a résumé line.
- Every runbook you write must be readable by someone at 4 AM who has never seen your code.
Nice to haves
- You have been the first platform engineer somewhere before.
- You have shipped infra tooling in the open — we can read it.
